We are now running Tuesday Evening Training in the form of informal Chain Gangs around the Beyton/Thurston circuit.
This started as an initiative for the Young Racers in the club, but is now being extended to adult riders who fancy a bit of speed and technique training. We meet at the Club Room at 6pm, ride out to Fishwick Corner Crossroads, where we do a right, over the A14, then left on to the old A45 into Beyton, where we go to the point of the green, turn left and head back towards Thurston, left at the crossroads, then left again at Fishwick to complete the lap. Anyone joining us later is advised to ride the course in the opposite direction, then turn round and join a group.
We can split riders into groups of 4-6 riders of similar ability, and participants have the chance to do some good training and learn the gentle art of ‘thru and off’. Whatever your ability level we will hopefully find a group suitable for you, as long as we get a good show of riders each week. It has worked well in the past. We can do three, four or more laps according to weather and light, and then back to the clubroom.
Are you game to join us?
