As most of us know, turbo sessions can be very helpful in maintaining and even improving fitness. A good 40 minute session can be the equivalent of a two hour session on the road, but without the cold, the darkness and the danger of riding at night. But turbo sessions can be very boring if done on your own ~ but in a group it’s much better, with music to help, instruction and encouragement , sociable and with the added advantage that you can go as hard (or easy) as you like ~ no one gets dropped ! And the discipline of one or two sessions a week make it easier to keep up a regular regime.
