Peter Balls took his first West Suffolk Wheeler evening time trial victory of the year with a personal best (for the course) of 23mins 55secs on the ten mile Horringer circuit.
Second was Richard Syres-Maham riding for Glendene CC who pushed Balls all the way with a time of 24mins 9secs. This was made even more impressive as Richard was riding a standard road bike, while others used various aerodynamic aids such as tri-bars, aero helmets and disc wheels. Finishing off the top three was East Grinstead CC’s Brian Phillips who is making a steady progress back to top form after falling ill early in the season.
