On Saturday 11th March 2006 the West Suffolk Wheelers held there Open Time Trial took place at Risby, on a cold snowly showered day 45 riders started this 21 mile route with some very impressive times for the time trial of the year shown by the riders, the top 3 on the day were W. Dorsett from API-Metrow feeds with at 51-14, M Pyne from Anglia Velo with a 52-07 and in third from East Grinstrad CC was B Phillips with a 52-30.

Local riders from the West Suffolk Wheelers were out in force and best place finisher was David Giffin who came 8th and Brian Starr who finished 10th. Other riders to from the wheelers were Richard Farrow who came 18th, David Young 26th, Nathan colman 29th, David Leaver 31st Julian Colman 37th and Mark Eastwood 40th.
