West Suffolk Wheeler & Triathlon club member Paul Rooke continued his recent good run of form to finish a respectable 17^th in the Debenham 20 mile Time Trial hosted by Stowmarket & District Cycle Club on Saturday.

Held on an open road course beginning at Debenham and taking in the lanes around Ashfield & Occold, riders faced a stiff side wind which made for a challenging return section back to Debenham.

Paul posted 49 minutes 58 seconds; 6 mins 17 seconds behind winner Mark Arnold of CC Desireagear whose time of 43:41 set a new course record some 11 seconds faster than the previous record which had stood since 2008.

Henry Wood posted 56:55 to finish 39^th, just one position in front of club mate Nic Whitwell on his first time trial outing of the new season and who finished in 40^th place (56:59). Gerry Barton rode well to 47^th in 1:03:23.
