2012 is our club’s third season in triathlon and I think it’s time we really put the Wheelers well and truly on the Eastern Region map as competitors.  With that in mind I have collated all the races that make up the league for this season below along with the number of places left and the cost of each race.  Each event hyperlinks to the entry page on-line.  See below for details on how the league works.

I’d really like to see lots of members entering these local events and earning league points, not just for yourselves but also as a club.  If you are entering any of the races below please let me know so 1) So I can put you in touch with other members doing the same race, great for camaraderie and lift sharing! How the League works

The league is formed from a mix of Middle (Half Ironman), Standard (Olympic) and Sprint Distance events with the best five counting towards the league (a minimum of two of which must be Sprint and a minimum two Standard or middle).
There will be categories for ages B thru G (17 - 39) and H and above (40+) for both ladies and gents (Age Group Categories). It is a requirement that you specify your Eastern Region Club name; if the name does not appear in the results then your points will not count although we may be able to resolve this retrospectively for one race if you contact the league organiser. If you are sponsored by a professional team then you may enter the race under dual club (professional outfit and Eastern Region club).
The league will run on a point system, points are scored on the basis of the winning time in the category, 10000 for first place and a reduced number for a slower time:
(winning time / competitor time) * 10000)
