Cyclo-Cross Training Series

Announcing a five week CYCLO CROSS training series aimed at beginners and experienced riders, youngsters and adults.

The Eastern Cyclo Cross League is a really excellent series and enables riders of all ages and abilities to do some regular racing through the months of September to January. Events are held most weekends, and all in East Anglia. Improved bike skills are developed by riding in these events and they are held in a very friendly atmosphere.

In recent winters we have had a crop of West Suffolk riders taking part and this Training Series is aimed at increasing this participation, but is also suitable for anyone wanting to improve bike handling and sampling the cyclo cross form of off road riding.

You will need either a cyclo cross bike or a mountain bike ~ many riders start on MTBs ~ or perhaps a rugged road bike with heavy duty tyres if conditions are not too wet.

TUESDAYS at 6.30 pm at Priory School   Duration one to one and a half hours depending on weather and light

JULY 24, 31, August 7, 14 and 21

First two weeks we will concentrate on basic skills, and gradually develop the evenings into harder training and race simulations.

These dates take us up to the start of the season, which commences with a light-hearted Madison event at the Mildenhall Rally on Monday 27th August. The league kicks off on September 8 at Basildon ~ a very tough course to open on!
