Claiming his second win of the season Mike Bowen pipped Phil Buick to the line in the Vets race at the Fakenham Cyclo Cross at Hempton on Sunday 17th November. This now puts Mike in the lead in the League standings In the same race.

Simon Elsworth achieved his best result so far in 31st, with Adi Grimwood 34th, Barry Denny 41st (and in the money as best over 60!), Ian Mortlock 46th and Darren Baker 49th. Stephen and Lesley Linden made their cross debut at this meeting which uses the most exciting and demanding course in the series, but gamely battled through, with Stephen coming home in 54th and Lesley 10th in the Women’s category.

We had just two in the Seniors race, with Richard Stiff 42nd and Matt Denny another member getting his best result so far in 44th.

The youngsters did us proud again with Sam Asker 10th in the U16’s (3rd U14), Matt Asker 21st and Fraser Elsworth 28th. Tom Macro rode enthusiastically in the U12’s coming home 12th, with Matt Whitwell 15th and Lianna Denny 21st, whilst in the U10’ we had four riders. Charlie Knowler was 7th this week, Victoria Asker 10th, Grace Whitwell 13th and Georgina Macro 14th.

Next event in the series is this Saturday, on what is probably the least exciting course in the series, at Redgrave, first race 10.45.
