Three young members made their cyclo-cross debuts in the Under 12 race.  Being their first race, they had to start at the back of the grid of 47 riders.  From the starting whistle, all three made rapid progress as they worked their way through the field avoiding several crashes in the process. The course was dry and fast but had several technical sections (including a tricky descent leading into a tight turn followed immediately by a sharp climb back up the embankment).  Fraser Elsworth finished 14^th, Matthew Whitwell 22^nd (5^th Under-10) and Oliver Griggs 29^th (9^th Under-10). Brilliant performances all round especially for a first race and against a strong field of determined competitors.  

In the earlier veteran race, Richard Muchmore and Mike Bowen battled at the head of the field, finishing an excellent 5th and 6^th respectively.  Barry Denny and Paul Barry both finished towards the rear of the field.
