SUFFOLK PUNCH Reliability Trial 5th Feb 9.30 for 10.00amPeter Heath East-West rideThe fine warm weather started on day one and followed me North, with just 2 hours rain the whole tour. In these conditions our countryside is amongst the best in the world and the route went through some of the most scenic, with hills and great views aplenty. I met some good people, including the 'Ride a Bike' shop in Barton on Humber who fixed my bike FOC and gave me a tenner for the charities, and the Yorkshire Landlady who drove me to the best pub in the area some miles distant for a meal and picked me up when I rang to say I was ready!! Larry and Mary Smith made me very welcome in the Lincs Wolds, with superb food, wine and accommodation,- they have a lovely home. They even fixed me up with an osteopath and Larry drove me into Louth for the treatment. This rescued the tour from a premature end and enabled me to keep going.Such instant kindness was a feature of the whole tour and I was humbled by such lovely people.....they made the ride special.
