WSW member Mike Cross has filled us in with some details of the people in this photo:

From the left is a guy called PODGE (blonde hair) - he is not sure of his proper name. The next guy looking to his right is Mike Cross at a tender age of 16 with skinny legs and on the front right is Nick Garnham! The older man on back left is Chris King whom sadly died recently.

Then we recieved some more information from another WSW rider in the photo - Nick Garnham.

He adds a few more names to the 1981 carnival photo: Podge's name is Brian Rogers, Mike and I are correctly identified of course. At the rear L-R, Chris King, Richard Sturgeon, and I'm almost certain the final name is Neal Rose. I wonder if anyone else can confirm that? Now - for a real treat, follow the link to the photo gallery it came from and scroll through until you come to the Barber Greene float, wher you will spot a very dapper, moustached Ron Back esq!!!
