Grand Opening of the Club HQ

The club is pleased to invite all members and friends to the official opening of the club HQ on Monday 3rd January 2011, at 12.00 for 12. 30, to be followed by a buffet lunch.

Could members please let us
(me) know if they are planning to attend, to give us a rough idea of numbers for catering purposes - donations of food very welcome (cakes, sandwiches, nibbles etc)

There will be two club runs to accompany the event (weather permitting). A (fast-ish) ride will leave at 9.30 and a slower ride  at 10.30am both returning for 12. If weather is really bad, we would still like to have a group of riders in club colours - for the Press - from 12.

Stephen Hill will lead the 9.30 ride (that's not 'lead' as in sit on the front all the way round- SJH). Please could Barry have a volunteer to lead the slower ride?

Hope to see you all there!!!

  • The West Suffolk Wheelers cycling club was formed in 1922 and is based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. We have a good cross-section of cycling on offer to welcome new and experienced cyclists alike. If you wish to learn bike handling skills for on and/or off-road cycling our members have the knowledge and experience to teach you. The Club is proud of it's development work with young people, and we have coaches to guide new cyclists in their training. We are active in all areas of cycling including: Road Racing, Time Trials, Track Racing, Club Runs,Touring, Audax, Sportive, Mountain Biking and Cyclo-cross. Members also compete in triathlon competitions; the Club is recently affiliated to Triathlon England, and new triathlete members are welcomed
