Transition time of 30:87 seconds was followed by a hard run of 23:35:44 to see her finish in a combined time of 30:02:56 and a richly deserved 2nd female and 13th veteran overall.

Stowmarket CC TT
West Suffolk Wheeler & Triathlon club member Paul Rooke continued his recent good run of form to finish a respectable 17th in the Debenham 20 mile Time Trial hosted by Stowmarket & District Cycle Club on Saturday.
MTB: Nationals Round 1, Codham, Essex
Samuel Asker had a full and varied weekend. A day's racing on the boards at Newport velodrome on Saturday was followed by a trip to Codham, Essex on Sunday to compete in Round 1 of the BC National cross-country MTB Series.
The course was pretty technical and probably uniquely featured a section of BMX pump track. Following a reconnaissance lap, Sam wasn’t too keen on racing but a second lap in the company of a couple of Eastern region mates calmed the nerves and he decided to race.
In only his fourth ever MTB race, this was always going to be a big learning experience and Sam started off at the back of the field. The first lap was slow and tentative, but as the race progressed into the second lap, confidence grew and he began to pick up places eventually finishing 30th overall (male juvenile). Not bad at all for the Nationals and in only his 4th ever mountain bike race...!
Superb Silver for Wheelers Women
West Suffolk Wheelers & Triathlon Club competed in the final event of the Eastern cylco Cross League Season, the Team Championships held at Mistley on the River Stour on Sunday.
On a notoriously hilly, challenging and extremely windy course clubs competed in teams of 2/3.
Stand out performances of the day came from Nicole Gregory and Jo Denny in the Women’s Team Race held over 40 minutes. Both are novices and in their first season at cyclo cross, and both rode tenaciously over a very demanding course against tough competition to be rewarded with 2nd Best Women’s team Club Prize. A superb effort.
