Winter Series Round 4, Mayday Meadow (24 Feb 2013). Weather conditions were cold but dry at Thetford Forest and didn’t stop Paul Watson putting in his best performance of the season finishing 22nd (125 finishers) in the 2 hour Veteran class.  In the senior category, Jeremy Waterson coming back from injury finished 73^rd (135 finishers) in the 2 hour Senior Race.

The eight round Mud, Sweat and Gears MTB Series starts on 17^th March at Tunstall Forest. There are races for all age categories and levels of ability. The snow was washed away by Saturday evening’s rain making for muddy race conditions. Both of the West Suffolk Wheelers & Tri members competing in the 2 Hour Race put in strong performances. Richard Emmerson finished 14th and Paul Watson not far behind in 23rd out of 110 finishers in the veteran category.

The final round will be held on 24th February @ Mayday Meadow, Thetford Forest.

Round 4 of the series was held on 15^th December. Robin Lines finished 4^th and currently lies 4^th overall in the Youth Classification. Dick Lines finished 24^th. The final round will be held on 20^th January at Fritton Lake. Follow the link for full details: http://fivebythreemtb.com/
