Livermere 5.5tt 25/8/11

In the last club evening time trial of the 2011, 27 riders took part. In third place was Adi Barbrooke with a 13.26, 2nd was Mathew Cook with a 13.12 and in 1st was Dale Sturman with a 12.48

ECCA 12 hour time trial - Sunday 21st August 2011

West Suffolk Wheeler/Triathlon club members Tony Panting and Jonathan Howe took part in the ECCA 12 hour on Sunday.  Tony rode as a regular participant and seemed to have a really good ride, ably supported by Richard "Tom Tom" Seggar.   Jonathan was riding his first 12 hour time trial, to attempt to break the 74 year old club record for 200 miles in the process.

Hill Climb Results

On a very wet Thursday evening, 10 people took part in the hill climb.  Winning the event in a total time of 2-41-42 was Adi Barbrooke.

West Stow 10.0 tt 11/8/11

With rain for most of the day and a clear spell after 5pm, 24 riders took part in the West Stow tt. In 3rd place was Adi Barbrook with a 24.51, 2nd was David Giffin with a 24.11 and 1st was Julian Long with a 23.42.

About the West Suffolk Wheelers
  • The West Suffolk Wheelers cycling club was formed in 1922 and is based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. We have a good cross-section of cycling on offer to welcome new and experienced cyclists alike. If you wish to learn bike handling skills for on and/or off-road cycling our members have the knowledge and experience to teach you. The Club is proud of it's development work with young people, and we have coaches to guide new cyclists in their training. We are active in all areas of cycling including: Road Racing, Time Trials, Track Racing, Club Runs,Touring, Audax, Sportive, Mountain Biking and Cyclo-cross. Members also compete in triathlon competitions; the Club is recently affiliated to Triathlon England, and new triathlete members are welcomed
