WSW & Tri youngster takes second!

JOHAN HASSELDER, WEST SUFFOLK WHEELERS & TRIATHLON CLUB YOUNGSTER,
TAKES SECOND IN HOLMWOOD HOUSE JUNIOR TRIATHLON

Following on from last season's overall 8th place finish in the Eastern Counties
League Series, Johan Hasselder (age 10) has started the new season with a podium spot in
his first race of the year. With second fastest bike and run splits, and a new
pb in the swim, it was a great start to this seasons campaign.

Lt Welnetham tt 12/5/11

The second time using the lt welnetham course this season with a headwind finish, David Giffin did a 22.24 with Adi Barbrooke 2nd and Julian Long 3rd.

Higham 10mile tt 5-5-11

David Giffin continued his fine form of the season with another win on the Hilly Higham course, beating Dale Sturman by a second. Third was Ben Mickleburgh.

Nicky Brinkmann & James Heath both run @ Thurston 10k on 1st May, Nicky was 1st female overall & James 8th overall. Very undulating & windy course .

Horringer 7.5mile - 28-04-11

On a course shorten due to traffic lights, Paul Rooke won the latest event in the West Suffolk Wheelers Evening Time Trial Series in 17.41. Lee Sturman continued his comeback to the TT series in fine style with a second place in 17.53, 38 seconds ahead of WSW Triathlete Adi Barbrooke.

About the West Suffolk Wheelers
  • The West Suffolk Wheelers cycling club was formed in 1922 and is based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. We have a good cross-section of cycling on offer to welcome new and experienced cyclists alike. If you wish to learn bike handling skills for on and/or off-road cycling our members have the knowledge and experience to teach you.
