Lt Welnetham 21-4-11

On a warm evening Thirty Three riders took part in the 3rd evening time trial series round the 8.5mile course at Lt Welnetham.  After Winning the Medium Gear event, David Giffin took a second win of the season. Click read more for full results.

Alan Macpherson performances‏

Two weekends ago Alan cycled to Bungay, ran their marathon in 3 hrs 40 minutes, then cycled back and said he felt strong on the way home   Last weekend he rode the 100 mile Rutland Sportive on a hilly course last Saturday in 5hrs 40 minutes(!), caught a few hours sleep then coached down to London the next day where he completed the London Marathon in 3hrs 20 minutes !!

West Stow 10.0 Medium Gear 17/4/11

Sixteen riders took part in the Medium gear event on Sunday. Winning the event was David Giffin. Full results read more.

Time Trial Report

2/4/11

Vivien & Jaqueline Smith rode in the VTTA (EA) 25 (Tandem) and did a 1:09;46.

9/4/11

Five members took part in the Kings Lynn CC 2up 11.5 mile tt. Ray Legg road with Brian Foster from Norwich ABC and did a 35:56.   Mark Eastwood and John Steed did a 30:44. David Young and Richard Balaam did a 30:41.

  • The West Suffolk Wheelers cycling club was formed in 1922 and is based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. We have a good cross-section of cycling on offer to welcome new and experienced cyclists alike. If you wish to learn bike handling skills for on and/or off-road cycling our members have the knowledge and experience to teach you. The Club is proud of it's development work with young people, and we have coaches to guide new cyclists in their training.
