The event will be timed and run similar to an Aquathon, the distances being 300m swim and 5k out and back ( up a hill) run. Cost to take part will be a small fortune (£2.50) which will cover the cost of at least your first drink at the bar afterwards - and probably a bag of nuts!! If you dont think you fancy taking part come and watch, cheer, help or just sip beer on the decking and feel slightly guilty that you didn't get ur hair wet... Shower and changing facilities are all free to use. Support your Club........see you there! Julia Jepson Last Updated (Wednesday, 26 May 2010 20:06) Waveney Valley TriathlonAnother good if not extremely cold day for West Suffolk Tri members who took part in this event. Julia Jepson 2nd lady overall, only to be outdone by a very talented 15 year old. Lee Sole Age group G winner Paul Horsley, Age group I winner Ann Fish, a regular at the Tuesday night swim session, also an age group winner. The weather was a balmy 6 degrees and absolutely freezing, if only you could feel your feet when you transitioned from bike to run, but overall a good event and won in a time of 47.46. Waveney Valley 2 on 5th September, entries open this week keep an eye on the tri-anglia website as this will fill quickly. Last Updated (Monday, 10 May 2010 20:05) |
