Fritton Lake Swim
After a successful swim in Fritton Lake we thought we could just about squeeze one more in before the season ends! Thanks to Rob we now know that if your very brave you do not even need to wear a wetsuit! (On the other hand I prefer not only a wetsuit but also two swim hats and wetsuit socks!)
The new date to go to Fritton Lake is on Saturday 18th September for an open water swim session. We plan to leave Bury at 7.00 and will be back in Bury for lunch time. Fritton Lake is one of the nicest lakes in the area to swim in with no sludge at the bottom and not many weeds.
Although this is not a coached session, there is a safety boat on hand and an instructor who gives you tips and advice. There is generally a three courses mapped out with bouys the longest approx 750 and 200M warm up area. (Within which you can stay for the whole session if you choose...)
There is also changing rooms and a shower. http://www.fritton-lake-triathlon.co.uk/training.phpfor The cost is £5 for the session and we plan to share cars/driving. Everyone welcome please just give us a call if you would like more info. or to arrange to come along.
