Please Wear Club Kit When Racing
We have been reminded by a British Cycling Commissaire that BC rules state that club riders in road and track races are obliged to wear current club kit. (TR 8.1.2 and TR 8.2.1). The purpose of this rule is to mitigate against tactical riding where unidentified riders from a club or team can frustrate attempts to chase down a team mate who has made a break, to the disadvantage of those riders from other clubs and teams unaware of the affiliation, and similar circumstances. In a recent SCRS event there were at least four West Suffolk members who were infringing this rule, probably not aware of it, hence this note.
