Do you recognise anyone in this photo? UPDATED

Do you recognise anyone in this photo? We received an email trying to identify the WSW members in this photo

Hello - my father Peter Massingham was a member of your club in the early 50's - and I have just found a photo of a group of WSW in a box- Sadly my father died in 1979 but I wondered if anyone could helo with names for this photo please?? I'd love to have contact with anyone who knew him at the time ..... Olga EDE - Gillian ARBON (my mother) ,Roy HILL Gerald LONG - were all members at the time Apparently dad may have had his name on some of the cups at the club - I'd love photos if possible please - I live in France so it is not easy to pop in !!! Regards Sarah TINDLE (nee Massingham)

If you can help provide any information, please contact admin@westsuffolkwheelers.co.uk and it will be passed on

UPDATE

We have received some information about the people in this photograph. Mick Madgett, President of Diss CC and owner of Madgetts Cycles had this to say.

I'm not sure about the photo's date, but the figure 2nd from right on the back row (with glasses) is my father, Eric Madgett. He was a WSW member during the '30's, but had helped form the club, & was riding for Diss by the '50's. He may, of course be an 'open' prize winner, or even have been presenting, if the photo is later.

The next day, long time WSW member Wendy Hoxley got in touch to add

My husband Ken Hoxley was a contemporary of some in the photograph. One such person is Eric Madgett , Mick Madgett's father. ( 2nd right back row. ) He went on to form Diss & District CC. I also recognise Phil Quantrill. ( 3rd right back row.)

We'll keep updating this page once we have identified the rest of the members of the photo.
