News from the Open Committee Meeting

In our monthly open meeting on October 10th we covered a whole load of important and interesting club business.

We heard that membership continues to grow, currently 311 and that many members had been achieving notable performances on time trials, track racing, triathlon, cyclo cross and endurance rides. Finances are still strong and we agreed to purchase a gazebo in club livery for use at events.

We discussed the exciting plans to run an Open Triathlon on September 30 2012 in addition to the Duathlon on April 1st. Also it is hoped to run a series of evening mini-triathlons/duathlons/runs on Wednesdays next summer. More news in due course.

The subject of first and second claim membership rules was also aired and this will be the subject of a proposed rule change at the AGM, Club Room, 7.30 prompt, Monday 14th November ~ all members are encouraged to attend.

The Annual Dinner and Awards Presentation will take place at BSE Golf Club on Saturday January 14th. Tickets available soon.
