Three WSW & Tri runners took part in the St Edmunds Pacers Friday 5 mile race on Friday 21 Jun 2013

Tricia Goulden set new Club 100m TT record

Tricia Golden set a new WSW & Tri ladies 100 mile TT record in the ECCA 100m TT on the E2/100 course. Tricia recorded a time of 4.34.50 ( 21.90 mph) in very testing conditions.

This is the second club record Tricia has set this months, having broken the club 10m TT record in the ECCA 10m TT on 1st June with a time of 22.44

 

Shaftesbury 25

With high winds and torrential rain discouraging half the field not to start, Trish Goulden battled the conditions to record 59.32 in the Shaftesbury 25m TT, finishing 19th overall  and 2nd lady

Goulden sets new club record in ECCA 10

Trisha Goulden broke the club 10m TT womens record in the ECCA 10m TT on 1st June. Her time of 22.44 placed her 2nd in the women's event.

Victoria CC 10.2m TT - 22nd June

Six WSW & Tri members took part in the 2nd round of the Victoria CC solo TT series. The 10.2 mile out and back course starts at Audley End, going through Littlebury to Great Chesterford  to the turn.

Gerry Barton recorded 30.20, Mark Eastwood 29.34, Jim Greenwood 29.11, David Young 28.41, Ron Back 28.00 and the quickest WSW & Tri member was David Howe (27.15).  The overall winning time was 22.05 by Adam French from Rapha Condor CC

  • The West Suffolk Wheelers cycling club was formed in 1922 and is based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. We have a good cross-section of cycling on offer to welcome new and experienced cyclists alike. If you wish to learn bike handling skills for on and/or off-road cycling our members have the knowledge and experience to teach you. The Club is proud of it's development work with young people, and we have coaches to guide new cyclists in their training.
