Elsworth and Asker First and Second in Lotus Cycle Racing Under 12s

This evening saw Fraser Elsworth and Sam Asker take a trip to Lotus for one of the few opportunities for under 12s to race there.

They set off with the under 14 pack and not only stayed with them but at times pushed the pace with an average of nearly 21 mph. After completing nearly 10 miles without being dropped Fraser and Sam sprinted for the line to finish towards the front of the main under 14 pack and finishing first and second respectively in the under 12s race.

The West Suffolk Wheelers cycling club was formed in 1922 and is based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. We have a good cross-section of cycling on offer to welcome new and experienced cyclists alike. If you wish to learn bike handling skills for on and/or off-road cycling our members have the knowledge and experience to teach you. The Club is proud of it's development work with young people, and we have coaches to guide new cyclists in their training.
