Cross Country
Eight members of West Suffolk Wheeler's and Triathlon Club took part in the penultimate round of the Suffolk winter cross country league around the grounds of Heveningham Hall on 16th February.
Although a bright sunny morning the tracks around Heveningham were deep in mud and puddles making the 9.7k course all the more challenging.
First wheeler home for the third race in a row was Keith Merra in 15th with Phil Clarke getting his best placing of the season in 68th, other mud larks finishing the grueling course were Julian Colman, Malcolm McFarlane, Paul Sawyer, David Leaver and Simon Kitching. Our sole competitor in the junior race saw Myles Taylor finishing in 34th which included a pitstop to rescue his running shoes from the mud, well done Myles.
The last cross this season is at Nowton Park this Sunday 2nd March, put the date in your diary no excuses for not running in this one it's on your door step, if your not running please come and support us.
