West Stow Time Trial - 5th July 07

 

Mickleburgh's Winning In The Rain

Ben Mickleburgh took the win for the latest West Suffolk Wheelers time trial on a wind swept and rain soaked evening with a time of 24mins 13secs for ten miles on the West Stow circuit on 5th July.  Paul Rooke was placed second only 14 seconds back, with Dave Giffin 3rd.

Inter Club Correction!

 Wheelers Dominate, Sudbury Gave The Wrong Scores!

Having copied the results from Sudbury CC's web site, the inter-club scores actually gave the Wheelers a very impressive win!!

Inter Club Time Trial-28th June

 

Wheelers Dominate, but Sudbury take the prize

Despite taking four of the top five places the West Suffolk Wheelers came out second best in the annual Inter Club Time Trial Championship between the Wheelers, Cycle Club Sudbury (CCS) and the Haverhill Wheelers (HW).

Evening TT - Gt Whelnetham (21st June)

 

Giffin gets its at Whelnetham

David Giffin won the Gt Whelnetham 8.5 mile time trial on 21st June, stopping the clock with a personal best time of 21mins 40secs.  Richard Farrow took second place 28 seconds behind Giffin, with Christian Pudduck taking his first top three placing with a time of 22:47.

Consistency pays for Farrow, while Colman retains the Collard lead

About the West Suffolk Wheelers
  • The West Suffolk Wheelers cycling club was formed in 1922 and is based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. We have a good cross-section of cycling on offer to welcome new and experienced cyclists alike. If you wish to learn bike handling skills for on and/or off-road cycling our members have the knowledge and experience to teach you. The Club is proud of it's development work with young people, and we have coaches to guide new cyclists in their training.
