Suffolk Winter Cross Country League

Run by Suffolk Athletics this is series of five races across Suffolk from Oct - March, There are points & trophies for all ages categories and overall club points to compete for. You have to wear club colours to run. Open to all abilities.

GO TRI

We arrange Go Tri races during the year which are very short distance events, great as an entry into multisports or to fund tune your transition or race practice. Races will be published when arranged.

Cross Country 13th January Haughley Park

The third round of the Winter Cross Country League will be held at Haughley Park, Stowmarket on Sunday 13th January. Juniors go off at 10.50 followed by the seniors at 11:00. I suggest we congregate at the Club room at 9.30 to leave by 9:45, this will give plenty of time to register and warm up.

If you can let me know by email (philwswtriathlon@gmail.com) as soon as possible whether you will be joining us, so I don't leave without you on Sunday, that would be great!

It would be wonderful to see more of us flying the clubs colours. Haughley Park offers every element required to make a great cross country course. Two laps of woodland, dips, logs and fields test the runners over the 5 to 6 mile course.

So come one and all don you running shoes and let's show those running clubs what us cyclists and triathletes are all about!!

Cheers,

Phil Clarke

p.s. Adults: Don't forget your £3 entry fee!!

Cross Country Race - Sun 2nd December

The second round of the Winter Cross Country League is almost upon us which will be held in Sutton, near Woodbridge on this Sunday. Juniors go off at 11 followed by the seniors at 11:15. Same as last time I suggest we congregate at the Club room at 9am to leave by 9:15am, Google maps suggests the journey takes 58 minutes so will give us time to get ready, register and have a bit of a warm up.

If you can let me know by email (adrian.wswtriathlon@gmail.com) as soon as possible whether you will be joining us, so I don't leave without you on Sunday, that would be perfect!

We had a great turn out for the first round, it would be wonderful to see even more of us flying the clubs colours this Sunday. Once again it's a 5-6 mile course so regardless whether you want to storm round for a PB or plod round and finish we'd love to have you along. Positions means points!

So come one and all don you running shoes and let's show those running clubs what us cyclists and triathletes are all about!!

Cheers,

Adi Barbrooke

p.s. Adults: Don't forget your £3 entry fee!!

Swimmers T20 results...

Our beloved swimming guru Chris has been keeping a record of our T20 results over the last couple of years and it goes to show just how much improvement everyone has gained over the period. Hats off and pats on the back all round, especially to Chris and Livvi for giving up their time to come and beast us every week!!

The results document is attached; each month a T20 has been done is shown, under which is the number of metres covered in 20 minutes. Chris has calculated and recorded the number of metres covered per minute and what our 1500m and 750m times are, based on our T20 times....
