WSW&TC Triathlon Race Calendar 2015
For 2015 there will be a club championship race calendar, this works on several levels firstly each race forms our points scoring league, your best four results will be counted at the end of the season with the top points scorer winning a club champion age group trophy for men & women.
Secondly it helps novices know what races we are likely to enter and be able to travel, support/help each other, it also is great to be part of a team in an individual sport.
We have tried to cover all aspects of our sport from Aquathlon to Middle distance (half Iron man) to give everyone a chance to have their distance recognised, maybe try something new and score points.
Our age group categories will be split in four as follows:
17 to 35
36 to 49
50 to 65
65+

Mountain Bike Racing
Round 3 of the Five by Three MTB race series rolled into Eccles Hall School near Snetterton in Norfolk on Sunday.
Despite the harsh conditions elsewhere over the weekend, 5 riders from West Suffolk Wheelers & Triathlon Club enjoyed a relatively dry and fast flowing course albeit flint covered in parts.
Sadly, the senior members (Will Smith, Dick Lines and Richard Holland-Jones) suffered a variety of mechanical problems with the flint in particular causing a number of punctures forcing their early withdrawal.
However, junior riders Robin Lines and Rhys Holland-Jones acquitted themselves well in the Under 16 event, Robin finishing 10th (6 laps in 49:46) and Rhys 11th (5/38:36).
