Bury Parkrun #8117 runners took part in the 8th Bury Parkrun (17-08-13), including three competitors from WSW & Tri. Highest finisher was Julian Long in 7th place, breaking the 19 minute barrier in his first Bury Parkrun. His 18:54 is the fastest time set by a WSW & Tri member so far. Graham Gidney finished in 26th place with 21:44 and Lyndon Houghton recorded 25:35 in his first Parkrun to finish in 69th place. The full results were available the same day on the website. Welwyn Track DayOn Saturday August 17 seventeen members and three guests enjoyed a two hour session at the Gosling Velodrome at Welwyn Garden City. Riders included eight youngsters and nine adults with limited or no track experience and everyone really enjoyed the session. After getting familiar with fixed wheel, no brakes and the banked surface of the 500 metre tarmac track we were able to get all riders taking part in skill and speed developing exercises. Bury Parkrun #6112 runners took part in the 6th Bury Parkrun (3-08-13), including three competitors from WSW & Tri. Highest finisher was Graham Gidney in his first Park Run, finishing in 9th place in 20:19. Phil Clarke finished in 22nd place (21:41) . Finishing just behind in 24th position, Julian Coleman set a PB (21:50). The full results were available the same day on the website. Alldis victorious in StaffordBrian Alldis secured another crit win in the Stafford GP(Handcycling) on Saturday 10th August.
