MEMBERS ARE RACINGIt is good to report that we have a strong contingent out there competing in circuit races this year. The Lotus Race League at Hethel has now been running for about 6 weeks every Wednesday evening and most weeks West Suffolk have been well represented. Previous protagonists Adrian Grimwood, Steve Newman, Alan Trolove and Richard Stiff have been joined by Matt Eaglen, Jeremy Waterson and Tom Cahill-Smith with Lee Sturman making a comeback and riding as strongly as he ever did. Alan has figured in the results most weeks, with Tom and Lee also making their presence felt in the action. In addition to the main race of one hour’s duration there’s also a 30 minute Go Race for ‘novices’ and 4th cats (and old boys) and I can personally testify that these are still quite quick with race averages over 24mph.
