Track Day at Welwyn’s Gosling Park VelodromeThe club’s Track Day at Welwyn’s Gosling Park Velodrome went well on Saturday May 26. We had four experienced trackies, five newcoming youngsters and three adult first timers as well as Brian Alldis showing a good turn of speed on his hand bike. Neville Pettitt, ably assisted by David Ballam and Hannah Brookman conducted the proceedings to a session plan that we have used previously. Nine of our party hired bikes and after sorting these for size they were very soon getting to grips with fixed wheel and no brakes, initially on the running track and within no time on the banked tarmac track.
